Speech-Language Pathologist

Dana Weldon is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with 28 years in the field, specializing in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders within the school environment. Holding a B.A. in Psychology and Social Work and an M.A. in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of North Texas, Dana is a certified professional dedicated to fostering students' communication abilities. Her responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language development, and collaborating with educators, parents, and professionals to create effective individualized education plans (IEPs). Dana provides both group and individual therapy, using evidence-based practices tailored to each student’s needs, and works closely with teachers to integrate support strategies in the classroom. She regularly monitors and documents student progress, maintains communication with parents, and provides supervision for district Speech-Language Pathology Assistants. Committed to continuous growth, Dana actively engages in professional development to stay informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.
