Oteka Gibson brings a wealth of expertise and a holistic approach to student evaluation and support as an Educational Diagnostician. Holding a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.Ed. in Counseling from Midwestern State University, Oteka’s career has included roles as a Teacher, Counselor, Peer Mediation Coordinator, and School Administrator. With over 30 years of experience in education, Oteka brings many skills to her current role. In her role as evaluator, Oteka conducts comprehensive evaluations of children for initial assessments and re-evaluations by using standardized tests, customized measures, and informal data to assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, and processing skills. Oteka works closely with parents, staff, and community resources to ensure evaluations are thorough and aligned with each child’s needs. Her extensive knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and interventions enhances her collaboration with educators, agencies, and families, driving positive outcomes for children with disabilities.
