Ryan Gordy is a dedicated Dyslexia Therapist with 26 years of experience in education, including roles as a Secondary English and Reading Teacher, Special Education Teacher, and Coach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in English from Angelo State University and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist. In her current role as a Woodland Dyslexia Therapist, Ryan plays a crucial part in supporting students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. She conducts formal and informal assessments to identify students with dyslexia and evaluates their reading, writing, and spelling skills while monitoring progress effectively. As a dyslexia therapist, Ryan provides direct, multisensory, evidence-based instruction in reading, ensuring that each student receives the tailored support they need. She collaborates closely with educators and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), setting measurable goals and objectives based on identified areas of critical need. Ryan's commitment to fostering academic success and her passion for empowering students make her a valuable asset to her educational community.
