Elementary ARD Facilitator

Harmony Chestnut is an experienced Elementary ARD Facilitator with 13 years in education, having served in both general education and special education teaching roles. She holds a B.S. in Science and Interdisciplinary Studies from Midwestern University and an M.Ed. in Special Education, from Lamar University. In her current position, Harmony expertly manages and facilitates Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee meetings, ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations, and guiding the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs). Harmony is committed to supporting critical timelines, enhancing cross-departmental communication, and ensuring effective educational accommodations for students. She also leads professional learning communities on campus, providing guidance and professional development for special education staff and teachers.
